We are happy to announce a new brand at UpShift Clothing!  We are very excited to offer Unit at our store. Here is the story behind the brand :

Unit is the brainchild of Paul Everest.

Paul was given two talents in life: the love of 'art' and the love of 'riding'. Living on the Gold Coast, Australia, in 2002 he looked for a way where he could combine his skills into one distinct entity … enter 'Unit'.

Starting out in his parents' garage, he teamed up with his younger brother Ian. The two pooled together $600 start-up capital and bought a screen printing carousel.

The brothers hustled their way up and down the east coast of Australia selling a handful of different tees from the boot of their car. The edgy and fresh designs on the Unit threads were an instant hit with store owners and fellow riders. Within a few months some of the best pros in the moto and BMX industries were supporting the Unit movement.

That's the genius behind Unit - it has always focused on edgy and fresh design.

"I have something to say with my brand; it's not just a logo machine that creates a profit-and-loss statement for its shareholders," says Paul.

Today, Unit is supported by some of the best motocrossers, BMXers, mountain-bikers and musicians in the world. With its headquarters based on the Gold Coast, Australia, Unit has recently established its new international office in San Clemente, California, USA. Unit is now sold in the world's major action-sports retail stores.

"Unit is all about the love of riding, innovative design and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in our sport," explains Paul. “We have exciting plans for the future that go well beyond anything that's ever been accomplished in our field.”

We have finally got a method to keep updating our page more frequently - so expect to come and hang out here often as there will be many more exciting things going on with the site !

By June 2011 we hope to have our online shopping site lauched, so if you are unable to come into the store, we can still get the latest goods to your door and on your back!

As well, please dont forget that we have move to a larger location in order to serve you better.  We have moved to 226 McLeod Ave Spruce Grove.  We are located on the west side of Drayton Insurance, across from Something Else Restaurant.
